A series of board games have inspired Studio Tenjung’s collection, Play Date. In the spirit of play and experimentation, the studio highlights a lesser-known Tibetan rug- weaving technique called Boorma that uses rods of varying thicknesses to create high and low piles. Also added are flat sumak weaves to create a more dramatic surface relief.
Lean, pointed, red and gray triangles set against a backdrop of nautical stripes, this board game makes for a stylish home décor object. Randomly selected positions of blue and yellow chips adds a little spontaneity to an otherwise orderly design. Dyed with traditional botanical dyes such as Himalayan madder, Rhubarb and Indian Indigo, this poster-like aesthetic will perfectly complement your collection of records or your favorite lounge chair in your study.
